Day 24 – Oneness
It is somewhat odd that in our early development we must work to establish the ego for our basic needs, in fact, our very survival. Then, later on, to establish community, we develop a sense of togetherness, and compassion for our fellow beings. To do that, we must dismantle the ego, to some extent, trim it down, go beyond it. To proceed on a spiritual path, we must work on our ability to cross boundaries, and create a sense of unity with other beings. By seeing ourselves in others, and vice versa, our options increase, and we lose our fears. Oneness sees possibilities in the impossible. Conversely, those with aversions fueled by large egos have fewer options, less freedom. This day’s meditation is about changing our boundaries.
